ABOUT
The single “Kesempatan” is a bilingual song (English, and Bahasa Indonesia) written by Diastika herself and is inspired by true events. Naturally quite shy and introverted, this single was written to build up confidence. This song is a story of “love at first sight”, where Diastika announces her love and asks for his love in return.
The “Kesempatan” music video is a collaboration between three architects with multi-disciplinary studios: Galih, founder of EmbaraFilms is an architect as well as film director. Sunaryo, an architect and sculpture, who designed the site in which the music video is located. And Diastika herself, architect and singer-songwriter.
The rough surfaces of stone, concrete, and gravel represent the difficult reality and hard world in which we live in. Contrasted with the soft flowing fabric and body movements that represent the love and care a woman provides. The natural and earthy tones of the music video are inspired by the Indonesian terrain, symbolizing the natural ability of a woman to care and provide comfort.
