The los Angeles Museum Of Modern Architecture

| SCI-Arc B.Arch Program | Semester: 2A | Instructor: David Freeland |

This project explores the possibilities of a 'field' through architecture. Starting with a formal analysis of the Hagia Sophia, certain abstractions are selected and transformed into a field that would later determine the placement of objects. As well as placement, these objects adjust in volume, shape and rotation according to the field. Within the subtleties in detail and overlap between objects, architectural opportunities are created. These architectural opportunities would become the starting point to the design approach for the Los Angeles museum of modern architecture.
